The bedgown was a simple T-shaped garment, worn throughout the 18th century as a loose-fitting garment for work or undress at home. Our bedgown pattern is inspired by extant bedgowns in the collections of Wintertur Museum, Platt Hall, & Colonial Williamsburg, as well as genre prints & paintings of the 18th century.
